Swap

Trade a stock token against USDG or ETH, from your main wallet or from a ghost. Ghostdex asks for a quote across the pools and aggregators that can fill the order and shows you exactly what will be signed.

How a swap works

Swaps are quoted through LI.FI, which compares the Uniswap v3 and v4 pools and the other exchanges and aggregators active on the chain, and returns the path that gives you the most. The quote arrives with a ready transaction: the contract it calls, the calldata and the value. Ghostdex shows it, the address you are acting as signs it, and the chain settles it.

  1. 1
    Choose both sides

Pick what you pay (USDG, ETH or any stock token the address holds) and what you receive. The amount you type is always the side you pay.

  2. 2
    Read the quote

You see the amount out, the least you accept at your slippage setting, the route, the gas estimate and each fee in dollars. Quotes refresh while the form is open.

  3. 3
    Approve once

A token other than ETH needs a one-time approval for the contract named in the quote. The app asks only when the current allowance is too small.

  4. 4
    Sign

Your wallet, or the ghost's confirmation sheet, shows the same contract address as the review. Once the transaction is included, the app reads the receipt and updates balances.

From a ghost

When the app acts as a ghost, the quote is requested for the ghost's address and the ghost signs the transaction. Approvals belong to an address, so a ghost gives its own, and it pays its own gas in ETH. Your main wallet appears nowhere in the swap.

The minimum you accept

Every quote carries a minimum amount out, worked out from the quoted amount and your slippage setting. The contract checks it when the transaction executes. If the pools moved and the trade would give you less, it reverts instead, and only gas is spent. Raise the setting for thin markets; lower it when you would rather wait than fill at a worse price.

Market hours

Pools trade every hour of every day. The underlying shares trade on US exchanges during their sessions. Outside them, a stock token's pool price follows the last quotes and whatever traders bring to the pool, and spreads can widen. The chip at the top of the app shows whether the US market is open, in pre-market, after hours or closed.

When the issuer steps in

The issuer can pause a stock token or block an address. A swap that touches a paused token reverts, and the app says so plainly. Corporate actions such as splits are applied through a display multiplier; balances shown in the app are the raw on-chain amounts the pools use. See Risks.

Fees

Ghostdex charges nothing on swaps. LI.FI takes a fixed 0.25% of the input, listed in every quote. The pool's own fee is already inside the quoted amount. Gas is paid in ETH. The full table is on Fees.
